Those graduates on the look-out for a new career with a huge brand should keep their ears to the ground as Jaguar Land Rover has welcomed 600 new graduates to its company.
After taking on 600 graduates and trainee apprenticeships – the car manufacturer has reached its highest level of graduate recruitment.
Over the past five years, more than 2500 employees have begun their affluent careers with Jaguar Land Rover on one of the company’s advanced graduate programmes.
Reaching a new record
This year however, the graduate intake has hit a record level – an increase of 100 young professionals compared to the same time in 2014.
The new graduates will be the very first youngsters to take part in the all new Jaguar Land Rover Academy – that was officially launched early in September. The Academy is set to provide the chance for educated graduates to learn and further develop core skills in the field.
The chosen group of 600 have already begun their programmes, kicking off with an induction week where a number of motivational speeches were made by the likes of Richard Noble – the former land speed record holder – and Kenton Cool, a leading high-altitude climber.
Welcoming tomorrow’s engineers
Attendees were given the opportunity to put questions to Dr Ralf Speth, the CEO of the firm, and to other executive board members, while also familiarising themselves with the current showroom line-up and future vehicles set to make their way into the industry.
Dr Speth said he was incredibly proud to welcome tomorrow’s engineers, technicians and innovators to the company.
“This is an exciting time to join our business,” he explained.
Dr Speth concluded that Jaguar is investing in its future by creating a number of “very special” vehicles for customers – and just as importantly, by employing and developing highly skilled graduates that will play a huge role in the company’s future success.
