We take delegates on a journey to help them build the foundations for a highly successful career. Starting with exploring what motivates them, to their perceived strengths and weaknesses, right through to analysing and understanding behaviours, management techniques, problem solving and more. We build the skills, knowledge and behaviours that support delegates in their day-to-day roles as well as preparing them for future roles they aspire to hold within your business. Areas we cover include commercial acumen, building relationships, decision making, communication and delivering results.

A key outcome of the programme is helping delegates to understand their responsibilities to themselves, others and their business. We provide situations that enable delegates to develop their skills and capability so they are an active participant in driving their own success, as well as supporting others to succeed.

Our Programme

Learning shouldn’t be boring, so we adopt a blended learning approach. This allows us to use multiple different delivery methods to provide a fun, engaging and challenging programme. Using blended learning means delegates get to experience classroom sessions to learn theory followed by experiential activities to give it a go. This means delegates get to practice and hone their skills in a safe place, learn from any mistakes and come back to your business ready to get it right.

Our goal is for every delegate to receive eureka moments throughout the programme, which will result in life-defining change. That’s why we take a learner-centric approach. We know every individual has different strengths and development areas, so every delegate needs slightly different support.

We use peer feedback, 1-2-1 coaching and facilitated meetings (with coaches, delegates & line managers) to get to the core of every individual. This means we can understand exactly where they are now, where they need to be in the future and how we can help them to get there.

One of the huge benefits of our experienced coaches working with delegates and their line managers is the support they provide in embedding the programme back into your business. The facilitated meetings ensure that any development areas can be built into PDPs. In the short-term, this means that development is baked into a delegate’s day-to-day activities. In the long-term, this approach will ensure that line managers are fully prepared to support delegates in their continuous development once the programme has ended.

Who is the programme suitable for?

The Aspiring Leaders Programme is perfect for aspirational talent who are looking to move into managing departmental or project teams as part of their career progression. The programme focuses on developing and stretching individuals. It is perfect for both seasoned professionals developing into leadership, and also early career talent looking to kickstart their career.

To qualify for the programme, a delegate’s current or planned future job role must give them the opportunity to manage at least one of the following: resources, processes, teams or projects. Roles may include: Junior Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader, Project Officer, Shift Supervisor, Shift Manager, etc.

How can the programme be funded?

The programme can be privately funded by any organisation. Additionally, as the programme is aligned to the ILM Team Leader/Supervisor Level 3 standard, the programme can be funded using the apprenticeship levy – both for organisations who are levy payers and SMEs using a government top-up.

What is a closed programme?

A closed programme is a way of running the Aspiring Leaders programme specifically for your organisation, which allows us to tailor learning and interventions to your business. We recommend cohorts of 10-12 delegates. If you have fewer, it may be more beneficial to enrol your delegates on one of our OPEN Programmes.

What is an OPEN programme?

An OPEN programme is a way of running the Aspiring Leaders programme for organisations who have fewer than 10 delegates or want to enrol their delegates alongside others from different businesses.

Enrolling your delegates on an OPEN programme means they will be enrolled on a cohort with delegates from other businesses. This means they will still receive all the benefits of peer learning, and your business will benefit from boosted employee performance for smaller numbers.
